Ustaz Mohamed Edris

Bio Details

Ustaz Mohamed Ahmed Edris holds a B.A. from Al-Azhar University, Faculty of Arabic Language, Journalism Department, Cairo, Egypt and a Postgraduate Certificate in Journalism from Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario. 

From 1991 to 2004 he worked as a Broadcaster, Editor and Translator for Radio Cairo, Cairo, Egypt, where he produced radio programs, translated the Qur’an and Hadith and covered conferences, seminars and events for the Radio Cairo.

He is experienced teaching both colloquial and classical Arabic language, and has done individual and community-based tutoring with the Eritrean and Ethiopian Canadian Muslim Associations.

Mohamed Ahmed Edris has taught Arabic Grammar and Conversational Arabic at the Islamic Institute of Toronto where he employs an interactive technique using multimedia and role playing to allow his students to become immersed in the language.
